ADGi conducts Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) Tests on mobile devices, including smartphones, data cards, and netbooks. We use a rigorous testing approach, reporting on how useable the device is and how enjoyable it is to use. We try and replicate the experience the person would have if they had just bought the device and were using it for the first time. We not only test the device and software but the packaging and any help documentation that comes with the device.
Before the testing begins, ADGi will work with you to create a test plan, including:
- defining your audience segments
- creating a screener for recruiting the right participants
- creating a list of the tasks participants will do in the testing
We will also oversee the recruitment process, book the testing facility, and provide all recording equipment.
Testing is typically done over 1 to 2 days and each testing session takes from 30 minutes to 2 hours. An ADGi facilitator will conduct the session in a one-on-one session with the participant. You will be able to observe the testing from the observation room or remotely, and all sessions are recorded.
After the testing, we deliver:
- a list of key observations about your product that were discovered in the testing (delivered at the end of each testing day)
- a detailed report, with executive summary, providing observations from the testing, analysis and detailed recommendations for improving the experience
